A long-term internationalisation strategy

A Golden Goldfish Leaps From Its Confining Fishbowl Into The Big

With over 15% of our revenue generated outside France, we have made internationalisation a key focus of our growth strategy. Initiated in 2010 with the launch of our export business, this momentum was reinforced with the creation of our first European subsidiary in 2015 and has continued ever since.
Our ambition is clear: to cover Europe with a comprehensive network of subsidiaries and double our share of international revenue over the next three years.

This trajectory is based on an already solid European presence, with subsidiaries in the Benelux countries, Spain, Monaco, the Nordic countries (Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland), Switzerland and a joint venture in Romania. We cover more than 40 countries on three continents through our structured network of distribution partners.

  • 9
    subsidiaries
  • 32
    countries covered by distribution agreements
  • over 15%
    of the turnover generated internationally

In our own way, we contribute to the reputation of French research and the pharmaceutical industry, which are recognised worldwide for their scientific rigour and high production standards. The global reputation of this French excellence is a major asset in our international expansion, enabling us to gain the trust of our partners and healthcare professionals in each new territory.

Our strategic vision is based on a model of agile, continuous development with a strong local presence. We combine several complementary growth drivers: new subsidiaries, targeted joint ventures and carefully selected distribution agreements.

Our growth is built on a progressive, carefully considered internationalisation strategy. Beyond our own growth, we also want to promote French expertise in eye health.

Beyond Europe:
strong growth potential

2025 marked the continuation of our expansion with distribution agreements in North Africa and the Middle East, regions with strong potential where the ophthalmology market is experiencing significant growth, supported by:

  • An ageing population and increasing life expectancy,
  • The growing prevalence of chronic eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, AMD and diabetic retinopathy,
  • The rapid adoption of new medical technologies,
  • The development of healthcare infrastructure and improved access to care.

We are thus taking a new strategic step forward, strengthening our international presence by distributing our ophthalmic solutions in eight new countries: Tunisia, Lebanon, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Oman. We see this region as a major growth driver for the coming years.

An expansion true to our DNA

We are gradually building our international presence, without ever losing sight of our mission and vision. We approach each new market with the same guiding principles: scientific and regulatory rigour and close attention to the needs of patients and healthcare professionals. Working in the field with trusted partners also allows us to gain in-depth knowledge of the economic, regulatory and cultural realities specific to each market.

We firmly believe that our values are conveyed above all through constant dialogue between managers and teams, both in France and in our subsidiaries. This transmission occurs daily, in strategic decisions as well as in operational interactions, creating a consistent corporate culture shared at all levels of Horus Pharma.

With the support of our 240 employees, we have enjoyed double-digit revenue growth since 2003. This expansion is supported by the government’s #ETIncelles programme, for which we were selected in 2023. This support programme provides us with invaluable assistance in our export development strategy, strengthening our ability to identify opportunities and build solid partnerships in these new markets.

By combining long-term vision, scientific expertise, local proximity and strategic agility, we are pursuing our mission: to provide innovative and accessible solutions for eye health wherever the need arises. Our international ambition matches our commitment to patients and healthcare professionals.
