CSR embedded in Horus Pharma’s DNA

Since our inception in 2003, long before corporate social responsibility became a regulatory requirement, we have chosen to integrate CSR into our operations.  We seek growth that balances profitability and sustainability, in line with our continuous improvement approach and our mission: to offer innovative products that address the full range of eye health needs so that no patient is left without a solution.

Although environmental issues, particularly through our Eco’Ophtalmo programme, were among our earliest sustainable development priorities, we have gradually structured our approach around social and governance issues, drawing on the EcoVadis assessment. After an initial assessment in 2024 and work to formalise our approach, we were awarded a silver medal in 2025.

Our vision of corporate responsibility is structured around several complementary  dimensions that guide our strategic and operational decisions.

For the environment, taking action at every level

Our environmental approach reflects our commitment to limiting our ecological footprint at every stage of our business, from product design to distribution.

The Eco’Ophtalmo programme is the cornerstone of our commitment to the environment. It enables us to take action from the design stage right through to the distribution of our products, with the aim of helping to advance practices across the entire ophthalmology sector.

We voluntarily carried out our first carbon footprint assessment in 2023 and identified several areas for action, particularly in relation to business travel. Concrete measures have been introduced, including the gradual electrification of our vehicle fleet (30% of the fleet in France is currently electrified) and the implementation of a travel policy that favours train travel for journeys under 3.5 hours. A new carbon footprint assessment is planned for 2026.

Our employees, the key partners in our ambitions

We also believe that Horus Pharma’s success depends above all on our employees: their expertise and motivation are the driving forces behind our development. We therefore place their professional fulfilment at the heart of our priorities, as part of a social policy that encourages skills development and entrepreneurial spirit, focusing on several key areas.

  • Offering working conditions that promote balance and performance for our employees

    • Modern workspaces that encourage collaboration.
    • The option to work remotely for greater flexibility.
    • Required training on safety and best practices for our staff at the head office and in the field.
    • Opportunities to celebrate and share key events or achievements.

Since 2023, our head office has been located in the Eco-Vallée in Nice: a district that combines
economic, social and environmental ambitions,  offering a high quality of life and working environment.

Convinced that economic activities should not be conducted at the expense of the rights of workers, local communities or anyone affected by the value chain, we ensure that all our stakeholders adhere to the same principles.
We place responsibility, dialogue and action at the forefront of our activities, as demonstrated by our organisation :

  • Our CSR approach

Our CSR approach is governed by the Executive Committee, which defines our objectives, oversees their implementation and fully integrates them into our growth strategy. Adaptable and dynamic, this governance relies on regular monitoring, aligned with our continuous improvement approach.

  • Actively listening to healthcare professionals

Actively listening to healthcare professionals guides our priorities and strengthens our ability to anticipate their needs. Our presence at conferences and the organisation of symposia and advisory boards with opinion leaders maintain an ongoing dialogue with the medical community. These exchanges create synergies between specialities, enrich practices, particularly in environmental matters, and enable us to develop our solutions in line with the realities on the ground.

  • Regular dialogue

Through regular dialogue with our entire ecosystem, such as industrial partners, patient organisations and institutional partners, we are able to develop sustainable, relevant solutions that address the societal, environmental and health challenges of tomorrow.
